Mask Mandate Passes In Grand Island

Grand Island, NE - Grand Island city council met on Tuesday night for the November meeting at Grand Island City Hall. The main topic of discussion was the city council to vote on a indoor mask mandate. After 16 members of the public spoke to the council at the 4 hour meeting the council ended up voting 8-2 in favor of the measure that takes place on Friday, November 27th. The mandate is in store for 90 days, to end February 23rd. The council could extend the mandate if they see fit or let it expire at that time or could possibly end the mandate early if the Covid-19 numbers are at a decreasing number in Grand Island.
