Roundabout work at Potash is underway
(Grand Island, NE) - Construction work has officially begun at Wilmar Avenue and Potash Hwy as the city of Grand Island installs a roundabout. This now blocks traffic from Potash to Hwy 281 westbound. The east entrance to Hy-Vee is still available as of now but will be closed later at a later date when construction advances to the east on Potash in widening the lanes. On Monday, March 8th the city started the roundabout project at Potash and Claude Road. When the project is all said and done there will be three roundabouts on Potash. (Potash/North Road - Potash/Claude Road - Potash/Wilmar Avenue). The best entrance into the Kohl’s/Hy-Vee shopping center is at the traffic light at the intersection of Webb Road and Wilmar Avenue.
